Was the person online? A list of recent cookies that you received
might give you an idea of who was using the computer if they were
online.

Are you wanting to know who used your computer last as of this moment,
or are you wanting to know, for future use, how to tell if someone has
been using your computer?

These are very different issues.

If you have a system of user profiles set up on your pc which require
a pw for log-on purposes, then you should be able to see which profile
has most recently had its user.dat file updated. This file
automatically is written to when someone logs on and only that of the
active profile will have been written to. Thus, if you have sam, benny
and chuck as user profiles, and you use Explorer (or the Find function
if it won't let you into the sub-directory) you can see which user.dat
file was most recently modified. Re being let into the sub-directory,
if you have administrator access, or equivalent, that should over-ride
any profile privacy walls.

You could also search for files datewise in your computer and separate
those files created or modified since the time you used your computer.

These files should help me understand who was using the computer.

You have not sent any details on operating system ,version being used
by you.

Another suggestion if this computer logs on to a network, and is
Windows based - the last successful logon name is kept in the username
field when the computer is restarted - thus, if it's not your name in
the box, the name in the box is the last person who logged on. Not
foolproof, but...

Windows has a built-in FREE service that can tell you who logged in at
any point u want to know. Its called EventLog or Event Viewer. It will
also tell you some other great stuff. Enjoy!
