How do I unlock a US West celluar phone? I need to unlock a few
hundred so I need some sort of a formula or software that will give me
a SPC or commonly reffered ot as "sub lock code" or "service provider
code".

The models vary. But in particular I need a sub lock code for Q-Phone
and QCP2700 by Qualcomm. I do not care about waranty issues. Just need
to unlcok about 1,000 of these units.

this may be what you're looking for. Basically, you can hook it up to
a PC, override the lock, and bam, you're in.

I'm not familiar with USWest phones, but I'd guess there's one of
these cables out there for them.

Be aware that by unlocking the phones you may invalidate the warranty.
If you ever need to get warranty service or software upgrades, it
could be returned to the user with the note "Unauthorised technical
intervention."

Are you looking for the code that would be used to program the phone?
If so find a Radio Shack that sells that service providers phones.
Find a friendly manager who should have a book or know who to call. I
use to know the code to program the q phone for sprint. It may even be
the same.
