Thank you for your question. The location in latituded and longitude
of Tsushima Island in Degree, Minutes, Secondsis:

34° 8' 60" N
133° 0' 0" E

In decimal format, it is Latitude 34.1500 and Longitude 133.0000.

From entering those numbers into a couple of different Lat/Long
locators, it appears to be the just south of center of the island.

Thank you for your question. If you need any additional
clarification, please let me know.

Thank you - that looks good, except your reference page is for a
different Tsu Shima...I assume that as this one has different
latitude/longitude it doesn't have any bearing on the main answer, and
that the main answer is for the island midway between Japan and Korea
?

Wow! How about that. Learn something new everyday. The Tsushima I
provided the coordinates for was actually part of the southern
Japanese islands. Obvuously this is not the the one you are looking
for. The Tsushima Island you are looking for, as you know and let me
know, is located between the Korean Pennisula and Japan. The
coordinates for the correct Tsushima Island:

Latitude: 34° 25 Min.0 Sec
Longitude: 129° 20 Min. 0 Sec

This location is on the northern half of the island. You can see this
location here:

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?latlongtype=degrees&latdeg=34&latmin=25&latsec=0&longdeg=129&longmin=20&longsec=0

and here:

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?latlongtype=degrees&latdeg=34&latmin=25&latsec=0&longdeg=129&longmin=20&longsec=0

I simply got the base coordinates for the Straights and worked my way
over to the island itself.

I also found a very nice map of the area at:
http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/middle_east_and_asia/japan.jpg

I apologize for the confusion and hope the above information is
helpful.

It seems "Tsu" means "port" and "shima" means "island," so it's easy
to see how there can be several places with that name.
