For an unusual project I need to find a writer, that does match
certain criteria's. As an non-native English speaker I have written a
concept for a project, that does include artistic, intellectual and
economic content.

Now I do need help in turning this into a beautiful result. Therefore
I need to find a gifted British journalist/writer who

• has the right "wit" and can successfully play with modern language
including double meanings, known slang etc.

• has professional experience and also a record of articles for
serious but liberal publications such as "The Guardian", "The
Economist" or others alike.

• does combine entertaining writing with solid economic knowledge.

• relatively young, aged 20 to 40, maybe even a rebel within the
profession

• this is no criteria, but would help: has written about the Burning
Man festival (http://www.burningman.com) in the past.

That can be a freelancer as well as a full time journalist/writer.

Well. Who can answer this one? The search will not be too easy but
maybe entertaining ...

Thank you, regards from Germany .. and a wicked start into 2003!

Dear thorstenrauser-ga
What an interesting challenge! I think I've met all of your
requirements except one - his age. He's 59 but still very much a
rebel. That's why I'm posting this as a clarification so you can
consider the nomination and to give other researchers a chance.

Matthew Parris, the former Conservative Member of Parliament, is a
columnist for the Times and The Spectator and until recently wrote the
Parliamentary Sketches in the Times.
Biography at http://speakers-uk.com/profile.phtml?id=339&act_id=1&sid=81
He has written his memoirs and these are commented on at

Dear answerfinder

First of all, happy new year and thank you for you quick feedback!
Matthew Parris is indeed very interesting and his character stands for
a nearly pefect "result".

However, since the project does target a very young audience it seems
essential at this point to work with someone inbetween 20 and the
maximum of 40.

I am aware, that this question remains quite a challenge. In the final
anwser I would have expected a direct contact information.

Again, thank you for your effort!!!

Best,

Raus
