Hello gerd6-ga,

I am posting this as a request for clarification as opposed to an
answer since it doesn’t really answer your question of “Where can I
purchase, or view, the 1971 NBC Network TV movie…”

This film is apparently unavailable for purchase and also appears to
be very difficult to view.

The film, based on the book “The Snow Goose” by Paul Gallico, was a
joint venture between the BBC and the Hallmark Hall of Fame series.

According to a website dedicated to the literature of Paul Gallico,
(http://www.paulgallico.info/gallicofaq.html), in response to the
question, “Is the film of The Snow Goose starring Richard Harris and
Jenny Agutter available on video or DVD?”

They state:

“At the moment - no. It seems that the film rights are owned by
Hallmark. It was done as a joint venture between them and the BBC as
one of the Hallmark Hall of Fame series. They are of the opinion that
the Estate of Paul Gallico does not wish the film to be released on
video. But from what I've been able to find out, the Estate of Paul
Gallico have no objections, and it's up to Hallmark whether they do or
not.

It can do no harm to email Hallmark and ask them again if they'd like
to bring out the film on video - or possibly ask the BBC if they can
do it.

One other possibility; the UCLA Film and Television Archive have a
copy of the film. If you live near there, then contact them; they can
arrange a showing of the movie for you. They can't give you a copy -
but at least you'd be able to see it!”

I checked the UCLA Film and Television Archive,
(http://www.cinema.ucla.edu/hallmark/index.html), and they do have it
listed.

The hallmark website also confirms that it is not available on video
(http://pressroom.hallmark.com/hhof-movie_list.html).

I also checked the Hallmark Channel Website,
(http://www.hallmarkchannel.com) and the BBC website
(http://www.bbc.co.uk/) and found no additional information.

Perhaps another researcher can come up with better information.

Good Luck.

You might try the Museum of Televsion & Radio in New York City.
You can't buy it, but they may have it in their archives for viewing.
