What is the correlation(matrix) of oil & gas sources to specification
(in terms of quality, LNG, sour, etc.) and infrastructure
************************************************
ie. oilfield composition/reservoir analysis. global production
capacity of major and minor oilfields worldwide. max production
opposed to actual production.

adammc -

Thanks for your question.

I have a source that can provide much of this data, however, since I
am not fluent in this subject whatsoever I will need you to explain
exactly what it is you require.

thanks,
ragingacademic

I would like a matricies or graph composition possibly of the
different oilfields worldwide with each wells production capacity
opposed to real output. These characteristics would be provided based
on each wells infrastructure, ie piping, hardware, machinery,
recources. Gas specs include data like the quality of gas\oil,
%liquid natrual gas, and sulferic content in the gas and any other
data on the gas you may be able to find.

Thanks for your clarification.
There are likely hundreds (if not more...) of oilfields worldwide.
Are you seeking the data - or sources where you will be able to
procure the data yourself?

What would you consider to be a complete answer to this query?

thanks,
ragingacademic

The sources would be very helpful if the data is accessible.

Here is what I have been able to identify –

+ Actual production and reserves by countries (59 oil producing
countries) and by region, as of 1998. The data fields are as follows
–

Rank	COUNTRY	Thousand barrels per day	Cumulative, Gb	Reserves, median
probable (P50)	Discovered, Gb	Yet-to-find, Gb	Yet-to-produce	Ultimate,
Gb	Year of Peak production

+ Reserve and production estimates by country as of Jan 1 2003
+ Top 50 oil companies – actual production, reserves and financial
information (2001 numbers)

I can provide you with some of the data (copyright concerns - let me
know what the five most important countries and companies are) and
citations that will allow you to extract the rest (but you will need
to find access to proprietary databases).

The lower level data you seek does not seem to be available outside of
multi-thousand dollar reports.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed – you may want to
change the suggested fees prior to my posting this info.

thanks,
ragingacademic

Please give us what you can as outlined.

Five Countries are: US, Saudia Arabia, Venezulia, Russia, Iraq

Five Companies: Exxon, Shell, Mobil, BP, ARAMCO

Please also include any URLs or publication names that you can for
high-end/high dollar data reports + any leads you can for follow-on
searches on my own.

- No change in suggest fee for search - thanks.

don’t hesitate to ask me for a clarification.

Per our short correspondence prior to my publishing this answer, you
had agreed to receive the data I have managed to find – please let me
know if you have any questions as soon as possible.

Finally, to find data on specific oil fields run the following search
on Google –

"oil fields" +statistics

(exactly like that)

You’ll see that thousands of hits come back – but most of the top hits
are quite relevant and will give you some country specific data.

If you want to explore purchasing a report, try the following url –

http://www.bizminer.com/3_order3.asp?industryID=130&subID=520

This will present you with reports in several industry sub-segments.

You can purchase industry reports on the crude oil segment at –

http://www.bizminer.com/3_order4.asp?industryID=130&subID=520&SIC=1311%2E0101

I have included some additional links of interest below (they all
include statistics of one type or another that are related to the oil
industry).

I hope this response adequately addresses your request. Please let me
know if you are in need of additional information concerning this
query.

Thanks,
ragingacademic-ga

Ok, there are a few sources you could approach for data at various
levels. Possibly the best way to get at country-level data is through
the Economist's Economic Intelligence Unit's Country Reports -

http://store.eiu.com/index.asp?layout=product_home_page&product_id=50000205&country_id=

Each country report includes a section on the oil industry; for
example, Saudi Arabia's report includes the following data -

Northern Light is another good source for for-fee reports; it is at -

www.northernlight.com

I have run several searches which provide some indication for the type
of research that can be bought -

A search for "oil fields" produced over 1,300 items -

http://www.northernlight.com/nlquery.fcg?dx=1012&cb=0&qp=not%2Bauthoraffiliat%3Alynch%2Bnot%2Bauthoraffiliat%3A%2522FIRST%2BANALYSIS%2BCORPORATION%2522&qr=%22oil+fields%22&qt=&qb=&qa=&qf=&rv=1&so=2%3A12818&it195=1%3A195&ind14=4%3A14&d1=&d2=&search.x=0&search.y=0

What you will see is that these reports tend to be either oil field -
specific or country-specific.

Adding "reservoir analysis" to the search reduces the number of hits
to only 4 -

http://www.northernlight.com/nlquery.fcg?dx=1012&cb=0&qp=not%2Bauthoraffiliat%3Alynch%2Bnot%2Bauthoraffiliat%3A%2522FIRST%2BANALYSIS%2BCORPORATION%2522&qr=%22oil+fields%22+%22reservoir+analysis%22&qt=&qb=&qa=&qf=&rv=1&so=2%3A12818&it195=1%3A195&ind14=4%3A14&d1=&d2=&search.x=0&search.y=0

Finally, searching for reports with "oil fields" in the title of the
document produces 11 hits -

http://www.northernlight.com/nlquery.fcg?dx=1012&cb=0&qp=not%2Bauthoraffiliat%3Alynch%2Bnot%2Bauthoraffiliat%3A%2522FIRST%2BANALYSIS%2BCORPORATION%2522&qr=oil+fields&qt=worldwide&qb=&qa=&qf=&rv=1&so=2%3A12818&it195=1%3A195&ind14=4%3A14&d1=&d2=&search.x=0&search.y=0

I hope that you will be able to find the exact information you require
among all of this data.
