I am interested in locating the above processors by reclaiming them
from laptops. To do this I need to know which laptops had this
processor installed. Please note, these are fairly uncommon. At this
speed, most processors will be the MMC-2 format, which are readily
avialable and of no interest to me.

I have found a few laptops (mostly clones) that had these processors.
I have also found a source where you can buy the processors
(reconditioned) already out of the notebooks. Would this be an
option?

A source for these processors may be of interest if the price is
right. Cost needs to be under $45. I could not find any in that price
range. The effective cost of the processor could be lower if reclaimed
then the balance of parts from the laptop sold. This is the rationale
for my original question.

the source I have found for the processors is based in England. The
366 processors are £90. I will keep looking.

The 400Mhz MMC-1 looks like it was standard issue on the Toshiba TECRA
8000CDT 14.1". Is this the type of information you're looking for?

Yes, the information you provided for Tecra is exactly the type of
information you provided. I was hoping for list of 4 or 5 notebooks.
If you know of 3 or 4 more, I would consider the question answered.

NOTE: at the cahced page above, search on:
