Dear Bluestreak: A thought: You may want to include in your future reposted questions that the question is a repost and provide the link to the original question. Thay way, a Researcher will know that it's been previously searched and, if a prior Researcher has commented on any of the questions you are reposting, they might glean knowledge from another Researcher's comments. To my fellow Researchers: The subject of this question was commented on at https://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=113424 - Hopefully, one of you may be able to find a clue there to locate the information for this very gracious customer! :) |

Excellent suggestion, journalist! That idea had occurred to me too & I considered adding the former question's ID#, but was afraid I'd confuse new people who might not be familar with me. Later today when I return from work, I will do as you suggest. Thanks so much for showing me how! This system always has new surprises for me. bluestreak |

There are at least a couple of articles on Lexis Nexis that mention Thurston, mostly from the Washington Post. Apparently James Thurston was dance director and instructor at the Ellington School of the Arts, at least from 1978-1982. One article mentions a James Thurston, dancer, who apparently died of AIDS: "IN THE EARLY 1980S, AIDS cut a devastating swath through the arts community. 'I basically lost my entire staff,' says Miya Hisaka Silva, who at that time was running DC Contemporary Dance Theater. 'AIDS wiped out a whole generation of dancers.' Hisaka, who has moved on to head El Teatro de Danza Contemporanea de El Salvador, is honoring those local dancers who died--Jack Guidone, James Thurston, Jason Taylor and others--with a program called 'Mostly Men.'"
