Have social psychologists or others measured the "frendliest" cities or states in the USA? A great answer would be 1-2 sentences with 1 reference to university (academic) research. All comments greatly appreciated. Happy New Year! |

I found many claimants to the title "Friendliest City in the United States," based upon various polls, surveys, and such, but the only reference I've found to an academic study is this: "Nashville is a wonderful place to live or to visit. This is the friendliest city in the United States, according to a 1995 edition of NBC's Dateline, based on a study by Fresno State University." http://www.insiders.com/nashville/main-overviews.htm Unfortunately, I have been unable to track down the actual study. Perhaps a researcher who can access university databases will be able to nail this one. Happy New Year, Ron! |
