hi, i am from austria. a difficult task. patterns for austrian old
clothing, called "trachts" are kept in families, but it seems, that
they haven't found there way to the web.

the closest thing i have found are detailed illustrations from alle
regions in austria.

I have contacted the head of the youth department of the austrian
tracht association. she is asking, if there for a specific reason you
are intererested in and the purpose of your request. i have asked her
if i can forward you her contact, but have not received any answer
yet.

if you are still interested in patterns, please repost this request.

It's not free, but you might find some good examples at the
Association of Austrian Clothing Industry
http://www.fashion-industry.at/.

I suspect you're looking more for COSTUMES, though, like something
you'd find at an Oktoberfest. Is that correct? If so, there is some
wonderful information at Sewscape. Go to the sitemap at
http://www.lyonslpgas.com/sewscape/sitemap.html and scroll down to
Oktoberfest. You'll find pattern and embroidery information.
