Pu Dong, Shanghai is one of the most desirable areas in China for
manufacturing goods for export and domestic consumption. I have seen
that potential more than 10 years ago, and set up my operation with 50
years of lease of a parcel land of approximately 200,000 sq. feet (all
land in China is belong to the government, all land sold is under the
lease provision). My intention is to use the property to produce my
own line of apparel fashions, plus helping smaller manufacturers doing
their production in my premises. We can provide them with the
management and the facility for production, and they can just do their
sales and marketing. This way they can reduce their overhead and at
the same time do not need to worry all the problems associated with
setting up a factory in China themselves. So far I have done some
works with the fashion accessories companies, and they are quite happy
with the services we provided them. The questions for you are:
1. How I can find more manufacturers who have the need for my kind of
services?
2. What is the best way to market my property and know how about China
to others? |

Hi, fons-ga:
Even though that I posted two questions in my Question, the two
questions are actually quite related to each other. My objective is to
find a way to let people know I have such a good set up and hope they
will use my set up in China.
My property is located in Jin Qiao, Pu Dong. The General Motor plant,
Sharp, Panasonic plants are all within a few blocks from my plant.
This is a special economic zone for manufacturing, and still enjoy a
favorable tax rate at this time.
