Hi Shoaib, Basically when a website is designed by someone it's a personal preference for colors of the background, text, borders, etc. If they have designed the site with a black background, that's what you will see when you - the visitor - go to the site online. If they've designed the site with a red background, the same applies. White, blue, green etc. It has no meaning. Other than the creator of the website likes that color for background. Same as some sites have a multi-colored, patterns, or images bouncing around all over the background. Some sites have background music playing. It's all a matter of what people think is "cool" and will attract visitors. Some people prefer white backgrounds for a business site because it makes for easiest viewing by their visitors. I hope this helps! tlspiegel Google Answers Researcher |

Re: Website question

Hi, This is a very simple question to answer - basically the backround is set to black in the HTML This is the line of code that does it - to see it - go to view source: <body bgcolor="#000000"> the 6 digits is hexadecimal notation - this can produce the 16 million colours. The first two digits is the amount of red the second the amount of green and the third set the amount of blue - in this case we don't have any of red/green/blue therefore the result is black. If we have the full amount of each colour which would be <body bgcolor="#ffffff"> in hexadecimal notation we would get white. If we were to leave this out of the body altogether you would still get white(most of the time) as most browsers default setting is white. Hope that has fully answered your question. How do i get my $2 is my question or don't i? |

johnworf, You don't get the $2. You have to be a "Researcher" for which, unfortunately, they are not currently accepting applications. Read this: http://answers.google.com/answers/faq.html#aboutres |
