What does the error message, "Outllib.DLL file is linked to missing export MAPI32DLL:36" mean? How do I resolve? My system is networked with a D-Link DI-604 Gateway. I use Charter Communications "Pipeline" as my internet connection. |

Hi riverview, Two possible causes, number one is the easiest to try first: 1. "Cause one: When you installed Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and Microsoft Outlook Express, you selected the option to make Outlook Express the default Simple MAPI client. To reset the default: ..."Start Outlook Express. ...On the Tools menu, click Options. ...Click the General tab, then click to clear "Make Outlook Express my Default Simple MAPI client." ...Restart Windows." Cause two: A corrupt Mapi32.dll file has caused this problem. You need to Rename and Replace Your Mapi32.dll File. Follow the directions here: Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 174843 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;en-us;q174843 Here is an interesting discussion - you will see you are not alone!
