Hello frankenbubba,

Thank you for your question.

I searched the Dell site - www.dell.com - and found literally
thousands of hits for [service contractor]. I investigated a few and
decided that it would be better to call for this information, and I
did.

I called Dell Customer Service at 1-800-456-3355 and pressed (4) (5)
(7) to reach the proper menu for non-technical customer support
questions. I finally was connected to a very helpful rep that
explained that there were neither a listing of qualifications required
nor an application form available online for applying to be an
independent service contractor.

Your initial contact and inquiry must be made by postal mail to:

Dell Computer Corporation
1 Dell Way
Round Rock, Texas 78682

It does not need to be addressed to the attention of any particular
person or department.

My customer service rep explained that you should detail your inquiry
and a package of information for official application will be
forwarded back to you by return mail.

I trust my research will get you started in the application process.
If a link above should fail to work or my research require further
explanation, please do post a Request for Clarification.

Regards,
