The westcoast ports of Seattle, Washington and Vancouver, British Columbia are currently attempting to out-compete the other for "homeporting" of the lucrative foreign-flagged cruise ship market(Vancouver is currently the homeport for many vessels but is at risk to losing much of its homeport business to Seattle, thus both ports are queued up as opposing suitors). I am seeking detailed, attributable information indicating what each port (& port city) is offering individual cruise lines as port(airport) fiscal or (de-)regulatory incentives to secure vessel visitations and ensure competitive market advantage for future cruise seasons. Thanks in advance. | |
