Alberto Mozzati was a pianist. He might have been Italian. I need both
his birth & death details, assuming he's dead.

I have found only one lead.  A paper by Silvestro Banchetti from the
University of Bologna entitled  «Alberto Mozzati nel decimo
anniversario della scomparsa», published in «I quaderni del corriere
dei ciechi», n. 37, 1993.  The title translates as: Alberto Mozzati on
the 10th anniversary of his passing, which would put his death in

According to information on

is a Mozzati piano contest held in Milan.  There is a piano academy in
a suburb of Milan named after him (they might be able to give you the

This suggests that he was associated with Milan, and at least died
there.

Excellent going, tehuti!  Long time, no hear.  I was looking for you a
while back, hoping to entice you to help me some more.  I have
reposted a few of my questions from last month. I'm hoping to get a
few more hits by giving the researchers more time.  Your lead is
strong and I will do everything I can think of to convert it into a
match.  I could sure use your wonderful skills if you have any time. 
If I can find anything using your lead, you will receive credit, that

According to World Biography, he was born in 1917, but no information
as to location.

He was still performing as of 2000 - e.g. -

I'm afraid there must be some misunderstanding involved in the
suggestion that Mozzati is still performing.
I was impressed by the reference tehuti found to an article written on
the tenth anniversary of Mozzati's death: "Alberto Mozzati nel decimo
anniversario della scomparsa".
This suggests he died in 1983 and fits in neatly with the information
I had found previously which shows him active up to about 1980 and
then nothing until things start to be named after him in the late
eighties, see:

biographical details of other performers:

The researcher was obviously unable to understand what was written in
Italian.

Hello my friends!                                                     
         Finnally at last, I can speak to you!  For the last 10 days,
there was an unavoidable problem with my Visa card and I couldn't
communicate with you. So back to work.  Mozzati.  It looks like Tehuti
has found his approximate death year and ragingacademic has found his
birth yr.  I will try to write to one of the European addresses &
solve the problem.  I continue to hunt the library shelves for classic
musicians books, of which there are many.  I'm always surprised when
well-known people aren't in there somewhere.  So far, awarding credit
