I have found evidence that a "Sam Kamel" was in the Cornell class of
1985 and subsequently served in the military. I have also found
evidence that an "S. Kamel" received an MBA from Harvard in the early
90's and that no other "S. Kamel" received this degree from Harvard in
the 80s or 90s. However, I do not have the full name of the Harvard
MBA or any other corroborating evidence.

If you will accept the year that "S. Kamel" received his Harvard MBA
as a complete response to your question, I will post it as an answer,
along with my search strategy.

"S. Kamel" received an MBA from Harvard in 1992, and I am confident
that this is the "G. Sam Kamel" you are inquiring about. In order to
determine the year of the MBA grant, I went to the "alumni login" page
at the Harvard Business School, found here:
Harvard Business School: Alumni Login
http://www.alumni.hbs.edu/login/index.jhtml?http://www.alumni.hbs.edu/contact/search/results.jhtml

The login format for Harvard Business School alumni requires a
"username" derived from the "Lifelong E-Mail Forwarding Address" of a
graduate. According to the instructions on the login page, that
username "is a combination of the first letter of your first name,
your last name, and your graduating HBS program." The example given
on the site is "jsmith@mba1967".

I entered "skamel@mba[year]" and "gkamel@mba[year]" for each year from
1980 to 2000. All attempts but one returned the error message
"Username Not Found!" The only exception was the username
"skamel@mba1992". This attempt returned the message "Sorry, but the
password you provided is incorrect." (I had provided no password in
any of the login attempts.) This result requires the conclusion that,
based on Harvard's records, an MBA was awarded to S. Kamel in 1992.

I had narrowed the search to 1980-2000 after finding three relevant
references to a "Sam Kamel" which placed his graduate school career in
a manageable time frame for further research. The first reference
placed him in the Cornell class of 1985:
Cornell Magazine On-Line: Class Notes (about 1/5 of the way down the
page)
http://cornell-magazine.cornell.edu/Archive/Jan2001/Notes50-59.html

The second placed him on the USS Ogden between 1986 and 1988:
Military.com: Unit Pages: USS Ogden
http://www.military.com/HomePage/UnitPageListMembers/1,13478,200014,00.html?Page=2

The third placed him in a corporate management position in San
Francisco in 2001:
