Question ID: 137075
Is there any car rental company in the Mississauga or Toronto GTA area
(Ontario, Canada) that rents manual transmission (stick shift) cars? I
have called around but so far all of the companies only rent automatic
transmission cars. I would much prefer a company in Mississauga, but
will settle for the Oakville/Etobicoke/Brampton/Toronto area as well.

I am looking for manual transmission cars or SUVs, NOT trucks or cargo
vans.

I'll need the addresses and phone numbers of the companies and a brief
description of what manual vehicles they offer.

Thanks!

Hi,

This is going to take a lot of phone calls - someone who is based in
Canada would be the best to get an answer without spending the $25 or
more on long distance calls!

The web sites all say:
"Car Rentals Rates in Toronto begin at about $40 a day and $250 a week
for an economy car with air-conditioning, manual transmission, and
unlimited free kilometers."

But when you call you are informed that the rentals have automatic
transmissions.

http://travel.discovery.com/destinations/fodors/toronto/tips.html

provides a list of renatl agencies in Toronto.

http://www.mississauga.worldweb.com/Rentals/CarTrucks/

has major rental companies 800 numbers only. They'll give you the
local number.

Searched with: car rental agencies Mississauga

Good luck with the search.
