Where can I purchase piano sheet music/song books by Iranian composer
Fariborz Lachini?
I know they exist and can probably be obtained in Iran> I also know
they exist because I was briefly in contact with someone who wanted to
sell them to me. Unfortunately I never heard back from this person. Is
it possible to purchase them in or from the US?

Finding sheet music by Fariborz Lachini is really not easy. I did my
very best and I’ve been able to detect at least the printed sheets for
his piano albums "Paiz Talai" (or, Paeez Talaee) I & II you mentioned.
They were published by Parviz Meshkatian in 1993 and by Sorood in
1999, respectively. This seems to be the only sheet music by Lachini
currently in print.

Apparently, there is just one source on the Web for these books, which
is an online shop specialized in Iranian music:

To find these sheet music collections, please choose ‘Writer’ in the
‘Select Search Field’ pull-down menu and type ‘Lachini’ in the text
box below, then click ‘Go’. This should take you to a page with two
books, each containing sheet music for one of the "Paiz Talai"-albums.
The price is $ 4.15 for "Paiz Talai 1" and $ 4.50 for "Paiz Talai 2".
Ordering from the USA should not be a problem, since Iranmelody.com
accepts all major credit cards. For these books, shipping is free.

song titles:

"Dancing Leaves" and "Autumn Memories" which are similar to the titles
listed in your message but not exact.

Unfortunatly, this site requires one to login/join to find more
information but apparently you may be able to view the sheet music on
your computer.

I tried logging in and checking it out, it definitely has a couple of
songs with the same name, but by different composers. Thanks for
trying though!

instantly...

You may also purchase individual songs you are interested in.

The copies available on http://www.iranmelody.com/books/ or similar
sites are illegal copies of his book!
