Hello,

I'd like detailed instructions on making an upright "Wheel of Fortune"
type wheel that you can spin. Something fun you can use at parties
where you could put different things on the "slices". I would guess
something made out of wood, right? I'm thinking a wheel of roughly 4'
in diameter.

Hi esarkissian,

How 'detailed' must these instructions be? I've found just one
website, and while it doesn't go into specific details such as a
particular board must measure 3.5 inches, it is explicit enough that I
(a grandma) could build the thing in an afternoon.

Hi revbrendalst,

Well, I suppose if a grandma can build it with these instructions, I
can build it. ;) Actually, I'm no woodworker, but if it gives good
enough instructions that I can mosey on down to Home Depot and build
it, then that's fine with me.

Okie dokie Ed,

The whole trick, I believe, is in the lazy-susan apparatus, which Home
Depot should have for sure.

There is no instruction for the stand beyond making sure it's study.
Before I'd start a stand, though, I'd personally consider a method to
hang it on the back of a door or on my rec room wall. Of course, if
you want a mobile wheel, you'd need a stand.

something else.

Happy spinning, eh? :)

Sorry for the typo. "study" = "sturdy."
