phrase “wood industry directory” at Google Advance Search, I had this

“International wood industry directory and marketplace.” It claims to
have a directory with “more than 60,000 companies of the wood
industry”. The advance search tool (

very specific queries using different criteria, including buy or sell,
in the “Offer” criterion of the “Product Criteria” group. A query will
bring back a listing of company names and product demand. A feature
allows you to send a multiple email to all the companies that you

telephone / fax numbers, location address, emailing feature, website
URL when available, contact person, languages spoken. You can filter
by country under two separate criteria –company origin and market –or
have a worldwide list. The maximum number of query results per search
is 3000, displaying 20 per page.
I did the query that thought may match your needs, using only the
criteria (Product) Category: SAWN TIMBER; Offer: to buy. It brought
back a list of 423 potential buyers worldwide. The following are the

This was a quite widespread query. You can narrow them according to
your needs by using the different criteria as filters.
Another interesting feature is the Trade Board (
http://www.wood-me.com/forum/ ). It is a forum where companies post
their offer to sell or request to buy. (A free registration is
required to post.) The forum is organized by the same product
categories as the Advanced Search. While I write this, the Sawn Timber
category has 180 inquiries. By clicking on the category, the message
titles are displayed (ten per page), and you can use a filter with the
options: Display all, Display offers, Display requests, and Display
opportunities. There’s also a search by keyword. I chose the Display
requests filter, and 45 messages from potential buyers were displayed
at the following pages (ten each):
