What would be 3 or 5 of the best bookmark managers for Internet
Explorer?.

The IE Favourites is really poor .I am looking at features such as
categories, subcategories, notes or even actual attachments to attach to
these notes , options to determine when the site was last updated,
e-mail alerts , conversion to html etc etc

In summary, a bookmark manager that would be ideal for heavy duty
researchers.

Hi marrett88,

Need to know:

Are you looking for freeware, and if not, what are you willing to pay?

What Operating System are you using?

Which version of IE are you presently using?

Thank you,

I have found bookmarks which do the things you require except for the
email alerts. Will these be considered as a legitimate answer? Just
let me know. :)

tlspiegel-ga ,my answers are :

1. I am running Windows XP Pro
2. IE is latest version ( IE 6 )
3. I dont want freeware. I am willing to pay ( a few hundred )so long
as it a lot of good features. I have done some search and I have
noticed that are quite a bit of web based free bokmarks that allow you
to use the service from anywhere etc . My main intereest is the extra
functons compared to IE 6 eg great search functions ( keyword etc ) ,
easy to use interface ( anything better than IE ) etc etc

I do a lot of research so somethimes it a hassle to try to determine
where some nugget of a site is located within the Favourites

easterangel-ga

I would like 3or 5 bookmark managers , preferably rated or ranked (
supported by some articles which ranked/evaluated them )

My previous clarification mentions that I am willing to pay for a
really good bookmark

Imagine attaching one of the Google answers as attachment to a
favourite site !!

E mail alert would be nice ( noticed it was available on some bookmark
managers ) ;it would not be absolutely essential if all the other
features are superb !!

I have found such reviews but I am not posting it as an answer since
the articles are not updated and some of the software listed are not
available anymore.

Would such reviews still merit as a legitimate answer? The articles
are dated between the years of 2000 and 2001.

Just let me know. :)

Hi, marret88,

I have to agree with easterangel... articles found aren't up to date
and some of the software is non-existant.

I rather like a tool called Microsurfer - I don't think it has all the
features you want, but it's a big improvement on "Favourites" even in
the limited free version. for a tour of features, see:
