My preliminary searches revealed the presence of the following: 

1. Whisky Galore - Compton Mackenzie
2. Tight Little Island - Compton Mackenzie

I am unsure of whether the screenplay was published separately as a
book. I am looking into this and will get back to you with more if
possible.

Although, they don't give any additional information--so I am
uncertain whether it is the screenplay or the original novel
re-published with the movie title.
