I have been taking Bextra 20 mg for 6 weeks.  I am now experiencing
insomnia.  Is this a common side effect of this medicine?

in seven clinical studies, which together included 2665 patients with
osteoarthritis and 2684 patients with rheumatoid arthritis, who
received a daily dose of 10 or 20 mg, insomnia was indeed reported by
some patients.  However, it was relatively rare, occurring in less
than 2% of all patients.

The URL given above lists all other reported side effects as well.  At
the 20 mg dose, headache, dyspepsia and abdominal pain were the most
common side effects, occurring in 8.2-8.7% of patients.
