Hello
The nineteenth century French poet Charles Baudelaire used to dye his
hair green, presumably for the fun of shocking people.
" If a man of Baudelaire's intellectual powers, a profound critic,
genius, and poet, could dye his hair green, simply to attract
attention in the cafés......"
From "Villiers de l'Isle Adam" by James Huneker

The next quote is from a professor discussing his classes on
Baudelaire:
" We read all of the poems out loud, in class, with me urging students
to make connections between the themes of each poem. When things got
slow, I would toss in biographical details--Baudelaire dyed his hair
green..."

"He was a cynical voluptuary, an amoral aesthete who shocked his
friends by dying his hair green and sprinkling his conversation with
non sequiturs. He referred to "the intoxicating pleasure of
displeasing," as he refused any semblance of
conventionality..........."

I hope this helps. Please ask if anything needs clarification.
