I am looking for information and/or advice on using a video projector outside in daylight. Specifically I want to use rear projection in an enclosed truck with the screen exposed to the outdoors. While I don't expect the image to compete with direct sunlight, I would like it to be viewable with daylight ambient light. The source of video will be just VHS so the format/resolution is basic. Recommendations on projector and screen specs would be nice, but examples of actual installations would be better yet. I know that there are better solutions for daylight displays, but most start in the $6-figures. My budget is in the $4-10 K range. Thanks! | |

Try it with a LCD projector, they give you a big picute (varies on the distance you have) and you can project it on anything (wall, fabric, paintings...). The resolution will not be very important for you, as you play VHS, BUT the ANSI lumen are very important for you. The higher that number is the stronger the projection is. At daylight I would suggest you need at least 1400 ANSI lumen. Check out the models of Viewsonic, they have preety fair prices. Good luck, C. |
