The j2.com service does send/recieve faxes over the computer but they also give you a phone number and will e-mail you any voice messages recieved there. http://buynow.j2.com/premier/page1.asp search term was : j2 (based on memory) The service you seek often comes as a freebe with a fax-by-email service such as http://www.onebox.com/ = Get your own toll free number for messages! look in the category: http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Internet/Internet_Fax/ and http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Data_Communications/Unified_Messaging/ but investigate before you buy. I did not used them all. The j2 did do what they advertised with faxes, I did not use them for voice. |

Hi Headsetsdotcom! I found a few sites that may be of interest, although they're not exactly what you described. They each record phone calls and store them on your computer, but not via email. However, in each case, once calls are recorded, they can be sent by email. I wasn't sure if you wanted to stay away from systems that require special hardware in addition to software, so there are examples of both in this list: 1. (This one is Mac specific) Proteron "Use Your Mac as an MP3 Wiretap How to record telephone conversations directly into MP3 files on your portable Macintosh " ( http://www.proteron.com/wiretap.php ) 2. Spy Patrol Phone Tap Recording Spy Software (once call is recorded, it can be sent as an email attachment.) ( http://www.spy-patrol.com/modemspy.htm ) 3. PadRing Call Corder ( http://www.padring.com/soft/Utilities/Modem/CallCorder.html ) 4. Way2Call Hi-Phone Stylus ( http://www.way2call.com/ ) 5. NCH Swift Sound ( http://www.nch.com.au/trx/ ) 6. TWAcomm.com ( http://www.twacomm.com/Info/Teletool_2000.htm ) I hope you find several suitable options here. Good luck! I searched for: record phone calls (://www.google.com/search?site=swr&hl=en&q=record+phone+calls&as_q=email+file ) record phone calls email file ( ://www.google.com/search?q=record+phone+calls+email+file&site=swr&hl=en&start=10&sa=N ) |

I'm not sure if I understand the question correctly, but here is a link to a service that offers a free phone number on which you can receive faxes and voicemails. Once you get a fax or a voicemail, it gets sent to you by email. http://www.j2.com/free/free.asp I've been using it for some time, and it's great. You can even pay a fee per month to get a 1-800 type number or in a specific area code (the free service will give you a number located "somewhere" in the US, without the possibility of choosing the area code) good luck! |

Hi Headsetsdotcom-ga. :) I understand your question, but am having a little trouble finding what you need. These services seem to be geographically based, and the ones that do phone service seem to be industry based. Knowing what kind of business you are running, and the approximate location would be helpful. Meanwhile, wher's an example of a company that does the kinds of things you are looking for for the Self-Storage industry. http://www.selfstor.com/skil.htm They do calls, and will record them for an extra fee. With more information, I can help you better. GoogleBrain-ga |

http://www.webley.com/features_list.html A business associate of mine uses this service - review the provide link. "E-mail Notification CommuniKate will notify you through e-mail if you have a new voice message or fax. The e-mail can contain the actual voice message if you use the setting. Notification can utilize both pager and e-mail together." |

I don't have the answer for you, although I believe you've already got some leads. However, if you're asking about recording a two-party telephone call, you should first ensure that you're complying with the laws in any states involved in the call. There are currently twelve states that require that all parties to be notified if a conversation is being recorded. These states are California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Washington. (See http://www.rcfp.org/taping/intro.html for more information.) |
