Hello,
I am pasting below the Request for Clarification that alexandrsandler
posted after I submitted my answer. I saved it in case it would be
removed when my answer was removed. This should help any researching
who wants to tackle this question narrow down their answer:
"Thanks for the answer. Unfortunatly it's _almost_ what I am looking
for.
First of all, these sites are great, but they are huge. I was looking
for something more personal, if you know what I mean (sorry, but I
wouldn't be paying for the answer for this question if it was so
easy).
Also, I am a Linux drivers (kernel) developer, hence I am interested
in Linux related news no less then in Windows/Apple related news,
while most of these sites are Windows/Apple related (actually I am not
interested in Apple news at all).
Another thing is that the word science news does mean "New iPaq by
Compaq", but it also means "A breakthrough in stem cells research".
Most of this sites won't tell a word about such news (perhaps they
will, but only because stem cells are in the center of something that
looks like a minor scandal in U.S - also, perhaps I am wrong and this
sites will post news related to non IT science). I am interested in
all kind of science news.
And finaly, unfortunatly, you disregarded part of the question talking
about paid services. Perhaps I am wrong about it and in this
particular case, paid services are no better then sites you specified,
but I think that in most of the cases What You Pay Is What You Get
rule works, hoping that it will work here too. And in this particular
case, as I noted in original question, I am ready to pay for
information I am interested in.
Thank you." |
