I am looking for the web site run by New York State that provides
information on child support (called the Child Support Standards Act).
It is a requirement that the site be run by New York State, not some
other organization. The information provided should include how to
compute the amount of child support.
Thank you.

Hello,

The web site you're looking for is located here:

Teh New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance
[ http://www.otda.state.ny.us/csms/default.htm ]

To determine the annual amount of child support, you'll need to
consult the Child Support Standards Act Chart:

(You'll need to have the Acrobat Reader installed, a download link is
provided on the page if you don't already have it.)

Hope this helps you find what you need!

Missy:
Although one of your recommended sites provides a template for
CALCULATING child support, I cannot find the actual CSSA law on the
sites you responded with.
Thank you.

The New York State Bar Association has published a pamphlet explaining
which section of the law pertains to the CSSA, including determining
support:
 http://www.nysba.org/Content/NavigationMenu/Public_Resources/Programs_and_Resources/Child_Support_Pamphlet_/Child_Support.pdf

The pamphlet states that the law itself can be found in Sec. 240 of
New York's Domestic Relations Law and in Section 413 of the Family
Court Act:

New York Domestic Relations Law (Use the "find in page" function to
locate section 240):

New York Family Court Act (Use "find in page" function to locate
section 413):

Hope that answers your questions!
