I've been looking for this for ever!
I need to know the TIME/LIFE photo-magazine volume#, date etc, which
contains a photograph which I describe below :
- This photo is black and white. It depicts a small poor boy sitting,
clutching a new pair of shoes given to him by the Army during/after a
world war. You can see tears and happiness in his eyes.
If you can find this photo and can send me a copy, I'll triple the payment.

Hello again Rakshan,

I am pleased that I located the picture for you.

I located a larger size copy of the same picture - 360 by 461 pixels.

I did some more research and was not able to find a reference
connecting this picture to the Time/Life Magazine. My fellow
researcher knowledge_seeker-ga has not found the photo in her CD
either.

In addition I did a search at http://www.timepix.com/ which represents
the Time and Life picture collection without any luck.

The description of the picture is the following:

First Pair of Shoes. 

The six year old Austrian Orphan reacts to shoes provided through the
Junior Red Cross in America.

If  this information and the picture helped you, please let me know in
order to post it as the official answer. I will include the link to
the larger size picture as well and the original webpage where the
smaller picture is located.

This might help narrow down another researcher's search:

I have the CD of "Life Magazine - 1936-1972" which includes all
articles and photos from those issues. The described photo is not on
it.
