Sometime between 1953-55 there was a 30 minute travel guide show that
a "Myron Zobel" did. The program was called "Global Zobel." It was
aired on channel 11 in Los Angeles...now Fox...at 7 p.m. Saturday...do
not know the date. He and his wife traveled all over the world and
shared their adventures with the television audience. At any rate,
they came out to Monte Vista, California and filmed this story of a
boy and his sister. It was about him winning the race in his Quarter
Midget. I would like, if possible, to obtain a copy of a tape of the
program that featured them. That would be ideal. I would be happy,
however, for anything related to the program -- the written script or
still photos -- or any information about Mr. Zobel and his television
program -- perhaps there are archives somewhere? I have already
checked Google (there was a reference but little information), several
television archives, and Channel 11's Web site.

Hi, Leita --

Alibris.com, the out-of-print book site, has several copies for sale
of a 1962 book by Myron Zobel called "Global Cuisine - Being Recipes
of 84 Top Restaurants of the World." There might be bio info, etc. in
there that could lead you somewhere.
Also there are all kinds of vintage TV fan sites that might be of
help.
(I don't know which ones are the best, but maybe others here do.)
And did you try the Museum of Television & Radio? The main one is in
NY, but there's also a branch in Beverly Hills. 310 786-1000.
