Hi again jhh - hummer here (I hope you are enjoying your new stainless
steel sink!),

The short answer to your question is "in the spring" or "June".
However, as we found with your stainless steel sink, nothing is ever
that simple, is it?

Information on the genus "Arisaema sikokianum" is not hard to find,
but different common names seem to be applied to it
(Jack-in-the-Pulpit or Japanese Cobra Lily as well as Snow Rice-Cake
Plant). You may want to confirm that the scientific binomial you are
using corresponds to the common name used in your locality. The
binomial takes preference.

You can compare different plants in the genus here:

Litchfield CT is in Zone 5, probably 5B:

Just a bit of horticulture humor. The satirist, Dorothy Parker, once
remarked about someone's girlfriend, "You can lead a whore to culture
but you can't make her think."

If you wish to become better acquainted with Mrs. Parker's life and
writing, please visit http://www.levity.com/corduroy/parker.htm. Her
short story, "The Waltz", is one of the funniest stories ever written
and is right up there with Eudora Welty's "Why I Live at the P.O."
