Hello mps-ga, This story is currently mentioned on the DatelineHealth page on MSNBC. It is the third story called "A difficult choice". "DatelineHealth Front Page 4:14 PM Wednesday, January 8, 2003" MSNBC http://www.msnbc.com/news/datelinehealth_front.asp Here are the links to the MSNBC report: "A difficult choice", by Edie Magnus (Nov. 3, 2002) MSNBC http://www.msnbc.com/news/829275.asp "Part two: An experimental surgery" MSNBC http://www.msnbc.com/news/829308.asp The doctors mentioned in the report are Dr. Simon Harvey and Dr. Jeffrey Rosenfeld of the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Here are some web pages for the hospital that you might find helpful. "RCH Division of Surgery: Ward 6 West (Neurosciences)" Royal Children's Hospital http://www.rch.org.au/surgery/index.cfm?doc_id=8 "Mental Health Service (MHS): Paediatric Neuropsychology" (mentions both Dr. Harvey and Dr. Rosenfeld) Royal Children's Hospital, http://www.rch.org.au/mhs/research/?doc_id=1062 "Contact RCH" Royal Children's Hospital http://www.rch.org.au/rch/contact/index.cfm?doc_id=1499 I hope that this works out well for the young adult in your congregation. - justaskscott-ga Search strategy -- Searched on MSNBC for: brain australia Searched on Google for: msnbc soeby "royal children's hospital" Searched on Royal Children's Hospital for: harvey rosenfeld neurosurgery |
