I am trying to find the identity of the Savings Company that purchased "First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Austin, Texas". They hold the loan on my Aunt who is now in a Alzheimer's unit and I need to contact the new company as soon as possible. Thank you. James L. Bogle jamesbo@us.ibm.com |

Dear James, I found a listing for the First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Austin in the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Banking Institution Directory. According to the listing in the directory, the First Federal Savings and Loan Association merged with Guaranty Bank in September of 1988. Guaranty Bank 8333 Douglas Avenue Dallas, TX 75225 Toll-Free: 1-800-288-8822 Local: 512-434-5432 http://www.guarantygroup.com/ Guaranty Bank offices in Austin are listed at: http://www.vicinity.com/guarantybank/geoprx.hm?FC=BANKINGCENTER&AD2=&CITY=Austin&STATE=TX&ZIP=&x=47&y=28 First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Austin, Texas FDIC directory listing http://www3.fdic.gov/idasp/confirmation.asp?inCert1=29080 Guaranty Bank FDIC directory listing http://www3.fdic.gov/idasp/Confirmation.asp?InCert1=32618 FDIC http://www.fdic.gov/ Search strategy I searched the FDIC directory ( http://www3.fdic.gov/idasp/frm_inst.asp ) by: Institution name = "federal savings" City = "Austin" State = "Texas" Institution Status = "All" Regards, Gigi |
