Holmes1989 --

There were 5 models of Dodge Colt in that year with three different
engines, according to:
"Standard Catalog of Imported Cars," Mike Cavello editor, Krause
Publications, 2002

All were built for Dodge and Plymouth by Mitsubishi.
The standard Dodge Colt (E and DL models) used a 1.5-liter 68
horsepower engine.
The 1.6L turbocharged engine in the GTS and Premier models produced
102 hsp.
And the Colt Vista, a station wagon, had a 2.0L, 88 hsp engine.

There was no Google search strategy for this answer; rather a trip to
the library.

Best regards,
