Will be moving down to LA from San Francisco.

I need to rent an apartment space somewhere between Long Beach and
Newport Beach, California.

I would like 10 comparables to select from.

Im looking for:
* $1.25 to $1.70 a square foot ($1.70 is OK if you cant find anything
else)
* prefer somewhere between 750 to 1000 square feet
* quiet neighborhood
* housed or covered parking
* safe area for walking
* 1 bed room
* pets allowed preferrable but not necessary
* apartment complex has a gym or pool
* local area is supported by brand name stores/vendors
* closer to Long Beach side than Newport side

Please answer as soon as possible. I am moving soon and will need
help in finding a place FAST.

Thanks.

I do not mind if the apartment is $1.70+ per square foot. My
preference is $1.25 - $1.70 per square foot. The $1.70+ properties
would give me a good feel for what prices are. Please list more than
10 if you desire.

Hey Travelnut,

I live nearby the area. Do you want west or east of the 405? I'm
assuming that you'll want to be in Orange County as opposed to LA
County, however Long Beach is on the line, so if you could specify,
that would be great. Some choices of communities would be Seal Beach,
Surfside, Sunset Beach, Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley,
Westminster or Garden Grove. I believe all of these are in Orange
County. Where will you be working? Any other info you could supply
about where you'll need to be going and how you're getting there would
help, too.

I am working in Long Beach. I will be living with my girlfriend (2
people). However, just need a decent 1 bedroom apartment.

Thanks.

I do not mind the LA side, but I would prefer the South side: "Some
choices of communities would be Seal Beach,Surfside, Sunset Beach,
Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley,Westminster or Garden
Grove. I believe all of these are in Orange County. "

Hello again Travelnut,

I've found many apartments in the area that fit your price range that
have all or most of the amenities you listed like pool/spa, covered
parking, etc. However, none of the adds listed *any* square foot
figures. All that I've found, (20+), fall between $937.00 and
$1700.00. All have contact phone numbers, (I have not called them as
it is long distance from home), and I've *tried* to make sure that
they are not handled by a broker or agent, however this isn't a
guarantee as to that. Is this acceptable as an answer for you? If
so, I can post your answer right away.

kutsavi,

i found multiple sites like homestore.com which list both price and
square footage. many of the sites even show pictures of the units.
please continue your search using online sources. im sure you did a
fantastic job with your initial search, however, square footage is
pretty important to me.... in other words more bang for my buck. let
me know if you have any further questions.

thanks.
