There was a child's board game that came out in the early 70's that I wish to find. I do not know the game, but it was a plastic monkey that you had to feed platic peanuts. It was a great memory for me and I'd love to locate a vintage model. |

I am certain that the game you're remembering is "Moe the Monkey," released in 1971 by Hasbro. A "Moe the Monkey" game is currently on eBay. The auction starts today: eBay.com http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=30&item=3106466593 You'll find photos of the board, the game spinner, the box, and the partially assembled monkey in the lower portion of the eBay page, underneath the description. My search strategy was simplified by the fact that I recognized the game from your description. My young cousin used to love this game. She was particularly amused by the monkey's scoop-like plastic "hands." To find a game for sale, I visited eBay and, using the search terms "moe the monkey," located the page linked above. If this is not the game you're looking for, or if the link does not function, please request clarification, and I'll be glad to offer further assistance. Best wishes, pinkfreud | |

rated this answer:![]() I cannot believe it! This toy has haunted me for years, and in a matter of hours, not only did you find the name of the game, but its location on ebay! Amazing! Pulling the picture up was like a walk down memory lane! My local news morning show, wwl, channel four in new orleans has a feature every thursday called "digital gumbo" where they showcase computer and internet information...they featured "answer google" this morning and WOW, I'm very impressed and appreciative! |
