Sandy5, are you a new medical transcriptionist? May I suggest MTDaily or MTDesk (www.mtdesk.com)as possible reference sources for you? MTDaily is www.mtdaily.com - it recently became a subscription service, but some areas are still free to read. A subscription to it may also be beneficial and cheaper (in the long run)than posting a $2 to $3 question each time you need an answer. I would also recommend the set of Stedman's reference books - I have found them invaluable. There are many other resources on the web, including several chat rooms where one can post a "sounds-like" term and get assistance. Not that I'm trying to discourage the use of Google Answers, by any stretch! These guys really do a FANTASTIC job! |

Just wanted to post a comment that I would NEVER refer someone to MT Desk. The only people over there are a bunch of negative whiners in the industry who think they're better than everybody else. They have their own little clique and if you're not in it, they'll eat you up and spit you out. I DO recommend MT Daily as an open-minded forum. They are well worth every penny. |
