Is any one going to answer this question??? I have basically created a
new product that can be used in DIY room re-decorations or pergolas
etc... I would like to know who to go about introducing it into the
market place. What the best steps to take? I have never done anything
like this before and have no idea where to start

It would be helpful for other researchers if you describe the product
you created so that some of the researchers who may be experienced in
marketing can help you.

It is a light weight decorative brick that can be used both indoors
and outdoors to decorate walls...eg fire place, feture wall in lounge,
water feture in the garden. It comes in a few different designs such
as river rock, sand stone, rough rock etc... I hope this explains it.

My suggestion would be to approach the Melbourne Chamber of Commerce
Small Business Committee.

They have an online resource guide at
<http://www.melpb-chamber.org/Guide.html>

Wish I knew something about marketing in Australia, but talking to the
folks at the Chamber should at least help you get started. By the
way, juding by my experience, the Chamber staff themselves may not be
much help...it's the Small Business Committee you want to be talking
to.

Good luck!
