This is along the same lines as the already-answered question 13873; and in fact, my question has pretty much been asked by someone else at http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&threadm=R9hc8.5042%24Ym3.2355520%40news0.telusplanet.net&rnum=3&prev=/groups%3Fq%3Dmappoint%2Bjava%26hl%3Den%26selm%3DR9hc8.5042%2524Ym3.2355520%2540news0.telusplanet.net%26rnum%3D3 So here it is: how can I handle MapPoint .NET authentication from java? So far, the suggestion offered in the above link hasn't yielded me the results I'd like. And there's something else: even if a java interface claims to support Digest Authentication, there have been issues with Microsoft's implementation of Digest Authentication differing from everyone else's before (http://www.eweek.com/article/0,3658,s=702&a=24177,00.asp). I'd be thrilled if I could get an example of someone saying that they could successfully authenticate to the MapPoint service from java with a little description of how they did it...if it's possible to do, I'm sure someone's done it and told the tale for the world to hear. Thanks for any help! P.S.: (MapPoint authentication is described at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/mpn20/html/mpdevAuthentication.asp) |
