As a result form a medical condition, my ears produce no ear wax.  My
doctor said that I should maintain the ear canal lubricated but was
unaware of any particular product to do the job.  I've tried lotions,
petroleum jelly and sweel oil and none of them work for more than a
couple of hours... if I don't keep them lubricated my ears itch like
crazy!  I'm looking for something, hopefully over the counter, that
can replace earwax.

In researching your question, I came across the following.  I am
posting this as a comment as you will want to check with your
physician as it is a prescription and my initial research did not find
any other references to this medication for a lack of ear wax.  While
I obviously do not know what the condition you have that is causing
this, the remedy for "dry ears" may work nonetheless:
"Well, from what I understand from the ENT, the ears and or the wax
that is made in the ears is one of the primary lubricants destroyed
with Sjs. I was so suprised to find this out. The ENT said that quite
frequently, the ears just stop producing wax and this causes itchy
ears and or break down of the lining of the ear canal, causing the
dryness. My dryness started after a horrid bout with an ear infection
that would not go away. The doctor had prescribed so many meds, that
HE thought HE had caused the ears to stop producing wax and so went on
this quest to find something to calm the itch. It took him nearly a
year, but he prescribed Desonide Ointment 0.05% and it finally worked.
The ENT I recently spoke with, was happy to hear of somethig that
might work and prescribed it to two patients of his (one with Sjs and
one without), they both told him they coul "kiss him". (They finally
found relief.) I am not saying that dry itchy ears is a symptom of
Sjs, but the ENT did say that Sjs quite commonly is the cause of a
lack of ear wax production"

I have the reverse problem.
I need to go to the ear doctor every 6 months.
Every time the doctor takes out the wax, he says WOW.
I wonder how ear wax is made.
Perhaps, I should post this as a question, and pay for the answer.
