Hi Lizardnation ~
Looks like I may have found that dream come true product for you ...
Glow-Key!
A recent press release said, "Glow-Key is the the first manufactured
(10 individual patent-pendings) computer-keyboard with letters and
characters on the surface of the keycap with glowing in the dark
capabilities for up to 6 hours* and light-reflecting capabilities in
well-lit areas. "This provides two benefits on one keyboard!"
They went on to explain that Glow-Key recharges it's glow "even from
your bright monitor light"
If you don't want to (or can't) attach an external keyboard to your
notebook or keyboard based PDA, Glow-Key also has sticker-labels which
they say "will fit most Laptops, Desktop, and PDA QWERTY computer
keyboards"
I can see where this will be a definite aid to all those two-finger
hunt and peck type puter purists who compute til the wee hours in bed
with the lights out!
For more information - Glow-Key's website is at:
http://www.glow-key.com/
The press release, dated November 11, 2002, is at:
http://www.pressbox.co.uk/Detailed/7894.html
Search terms used:
"fluorescent computer keys"
"glow in the dark computer keys"
glowing keyboard
I've got to admit I am intrigued!

Hello Serenata,
Thanks for the quick response which satisfied the question listed.
As a clarification, would you be able to show me where I can locate an
online reseller of theirs instead of contacting them in a traditional
way.
Optional+: Are there alternatives where lets say if the keyboard in
question has dual language keys and may require perhaps a product
which is in the form of a Pen maybe used to pass over the original
keys to give them the reflective properly perhaps.
Thank you.

Hello again!
Having read Missy's comment, I am picture waking in the morning with a
glowing qwerty on the forehead. She has a point about the teddybear!
I checked their Website and found that they are seeking retail
distributors (and I'll bet they're in stores by the second quarter of
this year); but there were none listed.
A look at the stickers makes me think it might not be too hard for
them to do the alternate key stickers for foreign languages, either.
Look at their offer for OEM keyboards!
They're located in Turlock, California and their toll-free number
taken directly from their website at http://www.glow-key.com - is
1-800-514-4569. They offer a moneyback guarantee, too - I think I'll
buy a set for my favorite guru who has been known to compute in the
dark.
Sorry I wasn't more help on your last two.

Helllo Serenata,
I've exchanged e-mails with them, it felt like a one man/inventor show
where they want to focus their efforts on notebook manufacturers and
license their technology and allow the others to take care of the
remainder of the cycle.
I've also asked about online stores and they verified that there
aren't any at the moment and that there might be a reseller who'll
take care of that in the future, though no promises.
I like Lot's recommendation and find it to be ideal for my notebook.
:-)
Thank you for the effort and the results.

Thank you for the kind words, and I'm interested in how the light
works!
I have a set of the glow-keys coming so we'll see what happens.
They might make good gifts for those who always seem to be operating
in the dark (figuratively and literally) ";^)
