tomek... You can't. This is a link to a streamed file which is not available for download. It was done this way to prevent downloading. The only thing that will show up in your cache or a download is a shortcut to the stream. |

Hi, There was a (now discontinued) software called "Streambox VCR" that can save streaming video to hard disk. You can search the net for it and give a try. Bio |

The Streambox VCR application mentioned in teh clarification and comments is still available from some sites on the web, however some comments I have read say that it is not very reliable with Quicktime RTSP streams. There are applications that can 'screen capture' such things, but intercepting it at a software level as it is written to the screen. However I can't remember any names and have not been sucessful in locating any. Good luck, but I think you may be out of luck. |

It is very important that the user be careful if downloading the Streambox VCR software. The original version is very difficult to find and there have been a number of repackaged versions which include viruses, trojans, backdoors etc. The most important thing to look at is legal issues, this usually is not allowed. Streambox VCR was very good at capturing quicktime, real media and windows streaming media in its day, but since it has been discontinued by the company, there have been many changes made to the different types of streaming media. Some people have cracked the software and attempt to keep it up to date... I have no idea if it actually works now but some people claim it does. Depending on how important this is to you, I would say that your best option would be to contact the owner of the streaming media and try to get a license for it and obtain it somehow. |

Some time ago I successfully saved an ASF stream using Camtasia (http://www.snagit.com) screen capture software. |
