When you first use Internet Explore 6.0 on a new computer, when you first type in a password, you get a dialog box asking you if you want to have IE remember that password for you. You can click Yes or No. There is also a checkbox for "don't ask me to remember any more passwords." I clicked Yes, because I wanted it to remember my password, yet I also clicked the checkbox, thinking it would remember all passwords as a default. I just realized that that is not the case. It will remember that one password, and no more. I want this dialog box to reappear. I want to click yes, and not click the box. I want IE to remember my passwords. Please tell me how to do this. Thanks! |

You can enable this feature in IE6 by going to the Tools menu, then click "Internet Options" -- Next, click the Content tab, and click the "AutoComplete..." button. Here, you are given the options to automatically complete Web addresses (for when you're typing into the address bar), automatically complete forms (for.. well, filling out forms :) as well as usernames and passwords on forms. If you check the "Prompt me to save passwords" box at the bottom of this list of options, it should re-enable the dialog for asking if you would like to save the password for future use. --- [Reference information] No search terms used -- information gathered from personal knowledge.
