I had used VPN on my PC's in the past. That was before I installed
Win 2000pro on 2 of my 3 machines. So I put VPN on all 3 machines.
However, VPN only worked out on my pc running WinME, and only then in
a one-way direction. Now here comes my problem: In attempting to
reconfigure the settings on my two 2000pro machines to enable usage of
VPN---messing with user settings---administrator---guest---passwords,
etc.---my head was spinning. And both my 2000pro pcs were messed-up.
I got one going OK, but the other one will not recognize the others on
my LAN, and it removed all my personal settings. So here's my
question: How do I fix this problem? More generally, how can I
configure both my 2000pro machines so that there is a minumum of all
this passwords, users, administrators, etc.? I'd like to get things
where I never have to enter a password, my VPN works, and I'm never
told that I can't do this or that because I'm not an administrator.

pjblevin-ga,
The first step would be to...login as admin first. If it says you are
not administrator, then you are probably logged into a different
account and before I can help you, you have to have admin rights on
all three computers.
When you have done this or need help doing this, respond :).

Hope this helps,
