What lower-cost digital asset management products are available for
the video industry?

I'm interested in applications for the industrial and educational
markets, which aren't served as well as the higher-end broadcast and
postproduction industries. Such software might range anywhere from
$100 to over $1,000, while offering users a fairly comprehensive
method of logging, tracking, and archiving their video.

There is no answer at this time.

That's not nearly enough info to go on:

Professional, prosumer? personal use?
What format is your footage in now?
How much of it do you want DBed?
You prefer any particular Pc format - mac/pc?

That would be a start.

I'm a reporter, so I'm not looking for a program for myself, but
rather products I could write about for readers in the industrial,
educational, religious broadcast and postproduction markets.
