Hi, lor! I hate wiping out my hard drive. I'm sorry you have to suffer the inconvenience. I found a listing of temporary disk space providers at the Free Disk Space Guide: [ http://www.dailyedeals.com/free_internet/disk_space.htm ] Some of the services are free, some paid, some offer 5 - 15 day free trials. Of particular note, zDen offers 500MB storage space, free: [ http://www.zden.com/ ] Good luck with the clean-up! missy-ga |

Most desktop computers have room for a second hard drive. They are quite inexpensive nowadays and I found them easy to fit. I'm sure your local store would sell and fit one for you. Transferring gigabytes of data over the net takes ages and your second drive would always be there to back up your data. lugga |

Hello. I think there is a number of ways to do it. You could rent or borrow a CD-R drive and burn the data onto CD-R's and keep the discs. Then, as your system is loaded and up and working you could move (or copy, even) the data back onto your hard-drive. Alternatively, you could take your hard-drive to a computer store and ask them to burn the data for you. I don't think they would charge much for that. And the CD-R discs ARE really cheap nowadays. Good luck! |
