I need data to support the notion that jury awards in medical
malpractice and personal injury cases tend to be larger in urban
venues than in rural venues. In particular, I am interested in any
data (or commentary referring to data) that indicates that jury awards
in Philadelphia are larger than jury awards in such venues as
Lancaster PA, which is more rural and more conservative.

The article referred by pinkfreud-ga was helpful but cited numbers
only through 1999. Something similar but more recent would be most
appreciated. Need a reply by Jan 14 end of day - will withdraw
question at end of day.
