I know the film was made in 1978 but remember watching it on tv. I
think it was when it was first shown. What year would this have been ?
I am assuming it was BBC or ITV. Thanks

According to the Encyclopedia of Fantastic Film and Television,
Watership Down was first shown on British TV on BBC2, December 31,
1987.  The Radio Times for 19 December 1987 - 1 January 1988 carried a
review plus credits of the film on pages 30 and 127.
