Re: Phenylpropanolamine(PPA), a nasal decongestant in tablet form that was removed from the US market not long ago because it caused strokes in some elderly women -- Are there any counties where PPA is still available? If so, can you recommend any specific sources (including on-line) to purchase it? I am asking because I am *not* an elderly woman and this is the only decongestant that works for me! |

Many compounding pharmacies, such as Wedgewood Pharmacy ( http://www.wedgewoodpharmacy.com ), still carry PPA, which is frequently used in the treatment of urinary problems in dogs. Apparently a prescription from either a physician or a veterinarian is now necessary in order to obtain PPA in the United States. |
